Woman dead, two others seriously injured in Bruce Hwy smash
A young woman has died and two other people seriously injured following a head-on collision on the Bruce Highway near Rockhampton.

A WOMAN has died after a crash on the Bruce Highway on Friday afternoon.
The Bruce Highway at Midgee, 15km south of Rockhampton, was closed for hours after the serious two-vehicle collision left two people trapped in vehicles and one dead.
Initial police reports show that a white Mitsubishi Triton was travelling north on the road when it collided with a Toyota Rav4, which was going south.
Paramedics attended the crash around 3pm and treated a 21-year-old woman, who died on scene.
Her passenger and the driver of the utility were taken to Rockhampton Hospital in serious conditions.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit continue.
