A man has been injured and three people are on the run following a break-in at a Hamilton home on Monday afternoon.
The break-in occurred at a property on Quarry St shortly after 2pm.
A woman who lives at the property said she rushed home after she received a call from her husband saying “I’ve just been bashed”.
Contractors in the street said they heard screams then saw three men running from the property.
Police investigators were on scene collecting evidence and taking pictures, with the paramedics treating the man as his head was wrapped with bandage.
The man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Neighbour Lucy Taylor said she heard a man yelling.
“Then maybe 30 minutes later, the police came,” she said.
“I snuck my head out of the window, and there was a van with a dog in it.
“Ten or 20 minutes later, this guy came out with his head wrapped up … he had blood everywhere.”
