Murgon mum charged with manslaughter over death of infant girl

A young mum has been charged over the death of her baby after the seven-month-old girl was found unconscious at home.

A young mum has been charged over the death of her baby in the South Burnett Region.

The 21-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter after her seven-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive in the Murgon home on the morning of February 5.

According to a statement from the Queensland Police Service, emergency services were called to the home where CPR had already commenced on the youngster after she was found unresponsive.

She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Her mother will front Kingaroy Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with manslaughter, after she was refused police bail earlier today.
