A woman out for her evening run was dragged into a public toilet block and knocked unconscious by a stranger, before the man sexually assaulted her, police say.

The 25-year-old woman has remarkably been able to provide extensive details of her alleged offender to police, who continue their investigations to locate the man, as they appeal to the public for help.

Police say the local woman was sexually assaulted in the Aurora Boulevard Park in North Lakes, north of Brisbane, about 5:45pm on Saturday, August 7.

The young woman has provided an in-depth description of the man to police, including referencing an American eagle tattoo on his left arm, and ear stretchers in both ears.

“(The man was wearing) a blue T-shirt, shorts and some thongs,” Queensland Police Detective Senior Constable Kim Rasker said.

“He has a distinct tattoo on his upper left arm- an American eagle. He also has spacers in both ears.”

Detective Rasker said the young woman was “understandably shaken by the ordeal,” but is being supported by loved ones.

The officer said the woman was out for her evening exercise at the time of the attack.

“She was out for her evening walk, a jog, and has been dragged from the footpath into the toilet block where she was sexually assaulted,” Detective Rasker said.

“She was knocked unconscious as a result of this, and that male person has fled the scene.”
