Police have released dramatic footage of a chase through a busy Brisbane shopping centre where they arrested a teenager wanted for stolen car offences.
About 2pm on Sunday, police spotted a red Honda HRV driving dangerously along Sandi St in Oxley.
It will be alleged the car was stolen from a Lichen St property in Inala on November 29.
The car was tracked by Polair before the driver abandoned the vehicle at a shopping centre carpark in Mount Ommaney.
The 18-year-old driver fled on foot, but police officers were close behind.
Bodycam footage of the arrest shows an officer running through a busy shopping centre to where two other officers have a man pinned on the ground.
Footage shows the man being handcuffed and escorted out of the centre before being put into a police car.
The 18-year-old Inala man has been charged with one count each of attempted enter premises and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of vehicle, and driving without a licence, and two counts of enter dwelling and commit.
He remains in custody and is due to reappear at Richlands Magistrates Court on January 29.
