Browns Plains man shot in leg after fight at North St, Woodridge, south of Brisbane

A man was rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound after being given first aid by police following an alleged fight with another man south of Brisbane.

Police alleged the man was involved in a fight before the shooting.

A man has been seriously injured in a shooting south of Brisbane:

Police were patrolling on North Street at Woodridge on July 28 when a 30-year-old Browns Plains man who said he had been shot in the leg approached them about 8pm.

Officers gave him first aid and he was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police allege the man was involved in a fight at an address on North Road before getting shot.

A crime scene has been declared.

Police believe those involved are known to each other and there is no threat to the public.

Police are urging anyone with CCTV or Dashcam footage to come forward.
