Police have set up a crime scene at a property in Gatton after a man was discovered dead on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to a house on Old College Rd at 9.30am, where a man in his early 40s was found dead.
It is understood the man was discovered unresponsive in the house by a family member.
The address was declared a crime scene as investigators attempt to determine the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
Tributes flowed for the man who has been identified as Nathan Stratford, including from his daughter Kylah Stratford who said she was “heartbroken”.
“I loved my dad so much he would always give people a helping hand,” she said.
“He was always loving and caring and would always take the opportunity to teach me life skills.
“My dad and I were working on restoring my LandCruiser ready for when I get my (provisional licence).”
The daughter was Mr Stratford’s only child.
A GoFundMe fundraiser was launched on the family’s behalf to help raise money for Mr Stratford’s funeral.
On Sunday, a spokesman from the Queensland Police Service said there was “no update” and he could not confirm how long the investigation would take to complete.
