A wet and bizarre round of footy couldn’t stop usual culprits from once again dazzling in the QAFL and QAFLW, while several smokeys had games to remember. Full list.

Wet conditions nullified the top sides in the QAFL as Aspley, Morningside, Palm Beach Currumbin and Redland-Victoria Point all suffered defeats.
Stunningly, Labrador thrashed the high-flying Morningside in it’s first game under caretaker coach Nick Jackson to restrict the Panthers to just one goal in an emphatic 96-point win.
Elsewhere, former AFL rucks Tom Hickey and Zac Smith went toe-to-toe in a tantalising match-up, and Matt Hammelmann continued his jaw-dropping goal-kicking form.
In the QAFLW, Aspley, Southport and Bond all notched important wins as they steel themselves for a hard fought finals campaign.

QAFL Top Performers
Charlie Offermans, Tom Simpson, Aiden Fyfe and Jay Foon (Labrador)
Labrador’s mind-blowing 96-point over the high-flying Morningside was spearheaded by the usual culprits. Charlie Offermans was everywhere with a game-high 35 disposals and nine clearances. Tom Simpson continued his stunning season, having been named best-on-ground for Queensland’s men just weeks ago, with 33 disposals, eight tackles and eight clearances. Aiden Fyfe also stunned, winning plenty of the ball with 24 disposals while also nailing four goals to match in muddy conditions. Jay Foon was exceptional too, with 30 disposals and two goals headlining his efforts.
Beau Addinsall (Broadbeach Cats)
Addinsall was pivotal at the coalface in Broadbeach’s win as he amassed 33 disposals, 12 contested possessions and eight tackles.
Jai Fitzpatrick (Noosa Tigers)
Fitzpatrick was gallant in defeat for Noosa with 36 disposals, four tackles and five clearances.
Fletcher Clare (Mt Gravatt Vultures)
Despite the heavy defeat, Clare played a gutsy game for the Vultures, leading the way in almost every facet with two goals as well as 32 disposals, 12 clearances and eight tackles.
Jake Falzdeen, Kailem Baker and Jack Ranes (Wilston Grange Gorillas)
Wilston Grange piled on the pain against the languishing Mt Gravatt booting 24 goals in a 159-point win. Take your pick of the standout performers Jake Falzdeen (5), Kailem Baker (4) and Jack Ranes (4) combining for 14 majors between them. Baker was particularly instrumental in the win given he also racked up 31 touches - what a performance.
Liam Dawson and Connor Stackelberg (Aspley)
Despite an upset at the hands of Maroochydore, Aspley’s Liam Dawson was pivotal with 40 disposals, 13 of which were contested. Connor Stackelberg also continued his great goal-kicking form as he booted four majors from 11 touches.
Owen Collins and Connor Bulley (Sherwood)
Collins was pivotal in the contest for Sherwood as he muscled his way to seven clearances to go with his 30 touches, while Bulley slotted a handy three goals in what was a relatively low-scoring affair against Redland-Victoria Point.
Matt Hammelmann (Redland-Victoria Point Sharks)
The Sharks’ Matt Hammelmann is in a seriously absurd vein of form. His last three QAFL games have hailed bags of seven, five, and five goals. Oh, and throw in for Queensland in the state representative game against Tassie too. He leads the QAFL goal-kicking by 13 after his latest haul of five in a narrow loss to Sherwood. What a player.
Joshua Wagner and Hunter Moore (Maroochydore Roos)
The former Melbourne Demon was very handy for the Roos as he racked up clunked six contested grabs to go with his 26 disposals. Alos laid four tackles and slotted a goal. Hunter Moore joined him as a standout among an even spread of performers with 29 disposals.
Liam O’Brien and Blair Rubock (Palm Beach Currumbin)
The Lions have hit a wall after a red-hot start to the season as they slumped to a third straight defeat. Despite the loss, O’Brien stood tall to rack up 31 disposals - a whopping 22 of which were contested - as well as 15 clearances, seven tackles and six inside 50s.Blair Rubock also had a solid day up forward to snag four goals.
Harrison Fraser, Mitch Patten, and Zac Smith (Surfers Paradise Demons)
Wet conditions helped Surfers Paradise get an upset win over Gold Coast rivals Palm Beach. You could throw a blanket over the Demons’ top contributors, but the game was won in the middle spearheaded by Harrison Fraser topped the ball-winners with 26 disposals, while Mitch Patten continued his great season to boot three goals. Former Sun Zac Smith had a great game in a mouth-watering ruck clash with former AFL journeyman Tom Hickey that lived up to its billing. Smith had 43 hit outs and 21 disposals, while Hickey had 42 hit outs and 22 disposals. Talk about hard to split.
QAFLW Top Performers
Madeleine Watt and Kierra Zerafa (Southport)
The Sharks were too big and too strong for the Red Lions on Saturday with the dominant midfield duo and Watt and Zerafa overpowering their opponents every move. Watt finished 34 disposals, 24 contested possessions, seven clearances, 13 tackles, three intercept marks while Zerafa had 29 touches, 22 contested, eight clearances, two tackles and one intercept marks. They were well supported but Steph O’Brien who was strong in the middle as always and Maddy Baldwin who snagged three majors.
Christy Landwehr and Ella Calleja (Bond University)
Another standout duo in round 11 was Bull Sharks midfielders Christy Landwehr and Ella Calleja. The two combined for 61 disposals, 19 contested possessions, 10 marks, 12 clearances, 9 tackles and three intercept marks. They were well supported by Courtney Sexton who had 16 tackles and 19 disposals.
Lucia Liessi (Aspley)
A true standout performer in round 11. Aspley played great free flowing football in their win over Maroochydore with Liessi spearheading the Hornets attack. She finished with 30 disposals, 17 contested possessions, four clearances, seven tackles and two tackles. Liessi was well supported by Jess Davy and Louise Tyson who combined for 56 disposals. 20 contested possessions, five marks, nine clearances, six tackles and a goal from Tyson.
Jessica Watts and Grace Roberts-White (Coorparoo)
Another strong performance from the Kings against Yeronga with their win helping them retain fourth spot on the ladder. They were led by Watts and Roberts White in the middle who combined for a hefty 57 disposals, 30 contested possessions, eight marks, 12 clearances, eights tackles and three intercept marks. Up forward it was Jenae Govan who was perfect in front of goal with three majors.
