This year’s Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane has a new date and a fresh new look.
The city’s biggest and best fun run, which crosses the Gateway Bridge, will be held on Sunday, September 8.
Registrations open next Sunday with a massive flash sale for the first 72 hours.
Last year’s event sold out with 30,000 runners and walkers taking part in the 10km and 4.5km courses.
It also raised a record $1.22m for Queensland charities and community organisations, including The Courier-Mail Children’s Fund, Ronald McDonald House Charities (SEQ), The Children’s Hospital Foundation, Mates4Mates, The Pyjama Foundation and Anglicare Southern Queensland.
Elsie Cowan and Brooklyn Coupe, both aged 6, were the first to try on the new blue race shirts at Newstead Park this week.
The shirts are a return to hi-tech performance fabric and will be given to all entrants as part of their 2024 race pack.
