Towering front rower Pale Feaunati is back where it all started after rejoining Keebra Park SHS as a Year 11 student this year.
Contracted to the Brisbane Broncos, Feaunati decided to leave St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace, the old school of Broncos captain Pat Carrigan, where he had attended as a Year 9-10 student and played rugby union.

Feaunati, who played for the City under-17s in April, was originally at Keebra Park SHS in Year 7-8 and has returned to play league again with his old school mates.
While he is not eligible to play in the top flight Langer Trophy competition after missing the eligibility deadline for 2024, he will play out this season in the reserves.
He will be one of the first players picked in Peter Norman’s Langer Trophy squad next season.
A delightful young man who represented the Queensland 14-15 years schoolboys in 2022, Feaunati was the type of player and person who will give himself every chance of working through the system and play in the NRL.
He was outstanding earlier this year playing club football for Souths Logan in the Connell Cup where he was named as one of News Corp’s top 40 players of the season.

Bailey Downs (Mabel Park SHS)
Downes scored a double in a scintillating showing and was pivotal in Mabel Park’s win over PBC. His performance was underpinned by his ability to break the line.
Cruz Dangerfield (PBC SHS)
Playing No.13, Dangerfield played strongly in the middle, carried well but also defended well and frequently won the ruck battles at the play-the-ball.
Jahrel Conlon (Mabel Park SHS)
Conlon played a great game through the middle and dictated the game in both attack and defence.
Dylan Watkins (PBC SHS)
Playing fullback, the talented Watkins scored tries and was dangerous from the back. He was also used as an attacking player from scrums where teammates put his pace to good use. It was estimated he ran for more than 300m - which is some effort.
Josh Beetham (Mabel Park SHS)
Playing centre, Beetham played a great game out wide where he produced a number of clutch moments at both ends of the park.
Marsden 54 defeated Caloundra SHS 0
Tanei Heijames (Marsden SHS)
The Marsden SHS middle player iced his solid performance around the ruck with two well deserved tries.
Thor Barnes and VJ Vialau (Marsden SHS)
The Marsden SHS centres were two high impact edge players, with the aptly named Thor Barnes a powerhouse and Vialau the scorer of three tries. Both boys were hard to handle.

Pale Feaunati (Keebra Park)
A mighty addition to the Keebra Park program again after returning to the school where he attended Year 7-8, Pale Feunati was a tower of strength in the middle with his usual high work rate. For a big man, the Year 11 student has an extremely high work rate and is a little in the mould of Petero Civoniceva, the former Broncos’ champion. Against Redcliffe SHS on Wednesday he also scored a try in the second half, prevented one with a big tackle against his opposite, and always put Keebra onto the front foot.
Santino Pekepo-Tevaga (Keebra Park)
The tall, athletic winger finished with aplomb across the first half, scoring three tries in the first 15 minutes before being denied a fourth by desperate Redcliffe cover defence. At the other end of the field he denied Redcliffe a try with a terrific leap and hands, defusing an attacking kick.
Aaron Maka Maka (Redcliffe SHS)
With his team getting an even share of possession, Maka had an excellent second half, guiding Redcliffe to a stoic recovery. He matched muscle in the middle with the big Keebra side, working hard to win the ruck after contact and deservedly scoring a try which reduced the loss to 26-18.
Hollan Poto (Redcliffe SHS)
Poto was his normal busy self. He had limited chances carrying the ball, but did leave his wing to once make a clean break in the middle of the field. He worked hard with carries at the defensive end of the field and defended stoutly.

Patu looks a potentially high class edge forward for Keebra Park SHS while big Redcliffe SHS middle forward Harris Pomare should get better with more match fitness in what is his comeback season after knee surgery.
Ipswich SHS 32 defeated Wavell SHS 24
Tyler Theuerkauf (Ipswich SHS)
Unstoppable at the moment, Ipswich SHS left centre Tyler Theuerkauf again ran rampant on the left edge with two tries, one of which sealed the game and the other snatched back the lead.
In Wednesday’s game, Ipswich SHS saw the most success sending the ball Theuerkauf’s way and when Wavell took a 24-22 lead, powerful fending Theuerkauf crashed over with an all important carry, only superseded by his next carry which ensured victory.
Carlos Ka (Wavell SHS)
Ipswich SHS were spearheaded by strike weapon Theuerkauf and Wavell right centre Carlos Ka, a raw talent who could be anything.
Powerful and smart, Ka was a great defensive organiser whose communication was first class on his edge.
The damaging metre-eater out of Norths scored an essential four-pointer just shy of half time to keep Wavell in the contest.
McSweeney Ripa (Wavell SHS)
Wavell’s fullback McSweeney Ripa had that x-factor about him and just popped up everywhere, both on defence and on attack.
He scored an excellent try as a reward for a relentless kick chase, was safe under the high ball and showed his agility and light footwork countless times returning the ball.
Sione Feketi (Ipswich SHS)
Ipswich’s rangy finisher Sione Feketi scored two tries on the left wing and was busy on defence as well.
An athlete, Feketi positioned himself perfectly to score his tries and with dangerous fullback Isaiah Pene behind him, Ipswich SHS looked potent in attack.
Wildcard watch: Unique Waerehu (Ipswich SHS)
Ipswich SHS were capable of anything with kicking ace Ethan Court and his five-eighth Unique Waerehu, a classy conductor from Whangarei, New Zealand.
He scored a try on Wednesday and had involvements in tryscoring passages.
