Young guns abound in the KFC Queensland Premier Cricket Team of the Week - round 5. Revealed here.

A host of young guns have made the KFC Queensland Premier Cricket round 5 Team of the Week.

Lord Taverners’ players Ravijit Singh Buttar and Pranshu Dave (both Wests) along with an array of lower grade players shared selection alongside Toombul’s Premier grade go-to bowler Ronan McDonald.

The Katherine Raymont Shield T20 competition also continued to throw up some stars, including WBB Heat and Queensland Fire all-rounder Charli Knott who continues to dominate for University of Queensland - earning her fourth straight Team of the Week nomination.

Knott finished 95 not out from just 65 balls, hitting the last ball she faced for six in the big win over Sunshine Coast.

Likewise, her Heat, Fire and UQ teammate Laura Kimmince was in merciless touch too against Wests, slamming 128 not out from 64 balls in their win, while her sister Grace Harris responded in kind with 63 from 40 balls.

Heat and Fire all-rounder Courtney Sippel maintained her recent form, topscoring with 56 at the top of the order and taking 2-15 for Gold Coast in their win over Wynnum-Redlands.

In the men’s first grade, experienced Toombul quick Ronan McDonald, whose day job is working as a strength and conditioning coach with Queensland Cricket, ensured a win for the original Bulls (Toombul) as they overcame Norths in a high scoring local derby.

BSHS 1 st XI old boy Sam Geyer took 4-44 as South Brisbane upset Valley to win by 10 runs on first innings in an exciting clash at Norman Gray Oval.

In second grade, all-rounder Chathura Kaluthanthri, starred with the ball for Sandgate-Redcliffe on the way to a haul of 5-41 from 31 overs in the Gators win over Sunshine Coast.

The resumption of The Lord’s Taverners One Day competition after the school holiday T20 competition won by Wests, featured two excellent performances from the Bulldogs camp.

Top order batter Ravijit Singh Buttar produced a neat 100 for Wests against Sandgate-Redcliffe while Pranshu Dave nabbed 5-39 in the same game for Wests.

Experienced Redlands middle order batsman Matt Fay ensured a win in fourth grade for the Tigers over bayside rivals Wynnum-Manly with his knock of 110.

Teenager Matthew Gibbs stood out for Wests in fourth grade, with the Wolston Park/Centenary junior claiming 6-30 in the local derby against University of Queensland to record the best figures of the weekend.

Wynnum-Manly leg-spinner Aditya Ghai, a Taverners player last year, picked up 5-40 in the local derby against Redlands to wrap-up their opening round of WEP Harris Shield (sixth grade).

Other eye-catching efforts included teenage Townsville prodigy Sianna Ginger who hit 59 not out for Valley against Sunshine Coast and fine returns from Georgia Voll (3-6 from 4 overs) for Sandgate-Redcliffe and Carly Fuller (3-3) for Gold Coast.

Gold Coast second grade cricket wicketkeeper Lewin Malady had a fair day out with the gloves, taking four catches and a stumping against Ipswich at Baxter Oval.
