Seventh man charged after Woolloongabba New Year’s Day shooting
A seventh person has been charged after a man was allegedly shot during a clash between two groups in Woolloongabba on New Year’s Day.

The alleged victim of a shooting in Woolloongabba on New Year’s Day has become the seventh person to face charges following the alleged incident.
The 21-year-old man was shot on New Year’s Day during an alleged clash between two groups of people.
Police arrived at Carl Street, Woolloongabba around 11am New Year’s Day following reports of gunshots.
Police say the alleged altercation occurred on the street where a 21-year-old Goodna man was shot in his upper left arm.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
No one else was physically injured.
Six other men have also been charged including a 24-year-old from Goodna, a 21-year-old from Collingwood Park, a 20-year-old from Redbank, a 20-year-old from Bellbird Park, a 19-year-old from Collingwood Park and an 18-year-old from Bellbird Park.
The 21-year-old Goodna man, the alleged shooting victim, was charged today, January 4, after he was interviewed at a Brisbane hospital.
He faces one count each of affray and going armed so as to cause fear.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 2.
Investigations are ongoing.
