A former Australian rugby union star has faced court today to address charges including wilful damage, allegedly involving a change table, cot and clothes.
Mt Gravatt East resident, Digby Natu Ioane, 37, appeared in Holland Park Magistrates Court today, September 8.
It is understood Ex-Wallaby and Queensland Reds winger Mr Ioane was charged with wilful damage on April 29, 2022, at a Mount Gravatt East address.
Mr Ioane, supported in court by a woman and legal representation, indicated a plea of guilty but the plea is yet to be formally entered.
His lawyer, Matthew Cooper, requested more information from the police prosecution in relation to the matter.
“We are asking how the particular property was particularly damaged,” Mr Cooper said.
Magistrate Simon Young identified the items allegedly involved.
“It’s a change table, cot and clothing,” Mr Young said.
Mr Ioane will reappear in court on September of 27 for mention.
His bail was enlarged.
