A magistrate has told a Logan father he should have a tattoo on his forehead that reads “no more relationships”, in a shock outburst in Beenleigh Magistrates Court.

The Boronia Heights man was torn down by Magistrate Athol Kennedy on Wednesday, August 31, when the young father pleaded guilty to four counts of breaching a domestic violence order (DVO), three counts of dangerous driving and one count of breaking and entering.

The court heard the father had hurled abuse at his ex in front of his little girl while refusing to leave a property.

“He should have a tattoo on his forehead to say no more relationships,” Mr Kennedy said.

“Domestic violence in front of your daughter?

“Don’t you like your daughter?

“You’re ruining the life of your daughter.”

Mr Kennedy said the man must like spending time in custody.

“You must like going to prison, you must like it there,” Mr Kennedy said.

Police prosecutor Crown prosecutor Briannon Dhillon said the man “does have previous charges of like offending”.

The court heard the man was seen driving dangerously three times last year, and was charged with one count of breaking and entering.

His lawyer, Katherine Hanson, said he had a poor upbringing.

“He has come from a rather violent home and drugs and alcohol were very prevalent,” she said.

He was convicted and sentenced to nine months’ jail for breaching a domestic violence order four times, three months for breaking and entering and six months for dangerous driving.

His time in custody was declared as time served, with a parole eligibility date of October 26, 2022.

He was disqualified from driving for two years.
