The developers behind several multimillion-dollar apartment buildings in the West End have acquired more property in the inner-city suburb for their latest residential development.
Developer Stockwell presently purchased 8 Bailey Street, West End from an interstate investor who has owned the property since mid 1980s.
Stockwell, who constructed the Muse and Riverpoint luxury apartment buildings, have acquired the site for future residential development.
The Bailey Street property is 2,347sq m and has three street frontages to Bailey Street, Kurilpa Street and Tondara Lane.
Stockwell’s owner Mark Stockwell said his business developed their first site in West End in 1997, transforming old industrial site into commercial and residential buildings.
“Stockwell completed their first West End, river front residential building in 2003 and have since built 14 residential buildings in the West End peninsula,” he said.
“This property, in a prime West End location, allows Stockwell to further service their market,
predominantly families, downsizers and retirees, without compromising the space, quality, and lifestyle that our West End buyers have come to expect.
“For over 20 years, I have seen West End develop into a safe and vibrant riverside community.”
Elliott O’Shea from Jones Lang Lasalle introduced the site to Stockwell and assisted with the transaction.
