Police allege that around 4.15am on June 26, two men attended a Lister Street residence at Oxenford and smashed a window with a golf club.
“They fled the scene after neighbouring residents came outside and chased them away.
“A short time later, a bullet was allegedly discharged into the front glass window of the neighbouring home, no one was physically injured,” he said.
Police arrested Kerr at Manly West in the afternoon on June 27.
Kerr’s lawyer Tanya Dower said he would not be applying for bail.
“The domestic violence offences do not appear to relate to the charges from June 26,” Ms Dower said.
Magistrate Deborah Vasta adjourned Mr Kerr’s matter to August 22 for a committal mention.
No plea has been entered.
