Police have made an arrest after terrified residents of a Gold Coast street had windows allegedly smashed by a golf club and shot from a gun.

Neighbours and residents of a Lister Street address in Oxenford had been disturbed just after 4am according to neighbour Peter Stewart.

“I heard a lot of yelling and came outside,” Mr Stewart told the Bulletin at the scene on Wednesday afternoon.

He alleged: “It was chaos. One was screaming ‘get the shotty, get the shotty’.

“Then it was just one loud pop.”

Minutes earlier Mr Stewart said a group arrived in a car, and one had allegedly attempted to smash his way into a home.
