A few last minute changes have been revealed in the final list of 2020 Redland City Council nominees. Here is the full list.

A LAST minute nomination has brought competition to Redland City Council’s Division 4.
Jarrod Noble was the final person to nominate as a candidate in the city’s local government election, announcing his intent to run against current Division 4 councillor and Deputy Mayor Lance Hewlett.
Meanwhile, a controversial term has not stopped Redland City Councillor Paul Gleeson from throwing his hat in the ring again.

Cr Gleeson (Division 9), who has faced several allegations of misconduct, had not publically announced his candidacy however is one of 27 candidates vying for one of the city’s 10 divisions.
Election nominations closed midday today and the final list has brought not surprises when it comes to the three mayoral candidates — Claire Richardson, David Curtain and incumbent Karen Williams — who have been campaigning for some time.

One name that did not appear on the list, however, was local businessman Todd Reinke who had earlier this year flagged his interest in running for the Division 1 seat.
Division 1 will however be contested by current councillor Wendy Boglary and Corinne Tomasi who has will run again after unsuccessfully vying for the spot in 2016.
Frances Ziebarth has also added her name to the list of candidates for Division 2, one of three of the city’s most hotly contested seats. Divisions 2, 5 and 9 will each see 4 candidates vie for a position on the council.
