A Queensland police watch-house officer has fronted court after allegedly refusing to perform his duties.
Brisbane city watch-house officer, Michael Ecimovic, 24, appeared in Cleveland Magistrates Court today, March 21, charged with refusing to perform a duty as a public officer.
It is alleged that Mr Ecimovic refused to perform his duties as a watch-house officer on Roma St in Brisbane City on July 18 last year.
Queensland Police confirmed Mr Ecimovic was suspended from duty with the service shortly after.
The Ripley man’s lawyer said his client’s case would be taken to Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Mr Ecimovic’s case is next due in court on April 19.
Magistrate Deborah Vasta continued his bail.
