A bayside father with a “superiority complex” has faced court after threatening to scalp a school principal, vice principal and a child safety officer, claiming the school was treating his child and him poorly.

A bayside dad has faced court after threatening to scalp a principal, vice principal and child safety officer, writing posts, sending harassing emails and phone calls.

The Alexandra Hills dad pleaded guilty in Cleveland Magistrates Court on Tuesday (August 23) to three counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.

The court heard the education graduate made numerous emails and posts, harassing the education workers.

“He called them thieves, liars, bullies,” police prosecutor Angela Tetley said.

“Child stealers with no moral compassion.”

The court heard he posted on the school’s Facebook site.

“Do not send your children here, never ever ever here,” Sergeant Tetley said.

“The child stealers and their friends must be hunted.

“(He made a call) saying he would scalp each and every person that was looking to take his child away.”

The man’s lawyer, Kurt McDonald, said his client had suffered stress at the time.

“It’s has been extremely stressful to have his child taken away from him in custody,” Mr McDonald said.

Magistrate Deborah Vasta said he needed to work on his “superiority complex”.

“You have become quite obsessive,” Ms Vasta said.

“You’re highly educated and perhaps there may be a superiority complex.

“You don’t necessarily know better than everybody else.

“To threaten to hunt down people and scalp them is very serious.”

The Alexandra Hills man was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service in 12 months.

No convictions were recorded.
