Mullineux Sr was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with immediate court-ordered parole on August 5.

In Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, Mullineux Jr pleaded guilty to two offences, possessing marijuana and drug utensils.

The court heard Mullineux Jr was found in possession of about 8g of marijuana buds, 5g of stems and 1g of chopped marijuana.

He was also found with a bong.

The offences were committed while Mullineux Jr was on a suspended sentence for other drug offences.

The court heard Mullineux Jr was a sickly man with chronic health conditions who smoked marijuana to self-medicate.

He was first convicted of a drug offence in 1990.

Magistrate Michael O’Driscoll told Mullineux Jr he wouldn’t dream of touching drugs if he had the health conditions the defendant had.

Mullineux Jr was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with immediate court-ordered parole.

Convictions were recorded.
