The court heard Brizzolara, 24, entered the Toombul Kmart where he put more than $500 worth of household goods into his trolley and left the store without paying.

At a later date he approached police officers at a railways station and asked if they could run his name, believing he had a warrant out for his arrest.
When he spoke to police he made full admissions and said he had given the goods to family and friends.
The court heard on three separate days, Brizzolara fuelled up his car at service stations at Kelvin Grove, Deception Bay and Nudgee totalling $121.83.
Each time he tried to pay in store using a bank card but was declined. He then left without paying and never returned to settle the debt.
The court heard he had been a meth user but now wanted to get his use of drugs under control.
Magistrate Trevor Morgan said Brizzolara had been convicted for stealing 16 times and would go to jail if he did it again.
“You’ve run out of options. Any more and you’re going to jail,” he said.
Brizzolara was ordered to pay a $1000 fine and pay restitutions. A conviction was recorded.
