Job, who attends the All Hallows School, won the girls 16 years 100m freestyle after claiming the 50m freestyle on the second night of competition.

Brisbane Grammar’s Tahlia Thornton was second behind Job in the 100m freestyle.

Neill, a St Joseph’s Gregory Terrace year 12 student, cut almost 10 seconds off his qualifying time to win the 16 years 800m freestyle.

It was his second gold after Neill claimed the 400m freestyle on Monday night.

Neill also claimed a silver medal in the 16 years 400m IM last night.

Thomas Raymond from Nudgee College was second to Neill in the 800m freestyle and Seungbeen Cho from St Peters Western pinched the bronze.

Nudgee College David Proud was delighted with Raymond’s effort. “He fought really hard in the middle of the race and got his reward with his highest ever finish at Australian Age,’’ Proud said.

Another highlight of the meeting was the 400m gold medal winning swim by Samuel Short of the Albany Creek Swim Club while Newmarket Racers’ Elizabeth Dekkers scorched to her first gold of the meet, and her second medal of competition.

Mollie O’Callaghan made it gold, gold, gold after capturing her third win of the championships, with her effort in the 50m freestyle one of 12 medals won on the night by the champion St Peters Western club.

Anglican Church Grammar School had two medallists on night three.

Jack Dugandzic was thrilled to win a bronze medal in the 15 years 100m breaststroke while James Yu was third in the 14 years 100m freestyle.

Chandler swimmer Lucas Humeniuk was third in the 17 years 400m IM and Commercial’s Kai Taylor was second in the 15-year 50m freestyle.

Nudgee coach David Proud said there were also personal wins away from the podium for the club.

Thomas Connellan backed up his bronze on night two with a personal best fourth in the 14 years 100m freestyle while there was another personal best for Brittany Courtney in placing sixth in both the 15 years 100m and 50m freestyle.

Tyler O’Keefe also made his first Australian Age final in the 15 years 400m freestyle, dropping two seconds off his previous PB.
