On September 28, 2018 he broke into a construction worksite in Mango Hill and used bolt cutters to get into a locked cabin.

Inside the construction site he stole a Telstra Wi-Fi dongle, Milwaukee brand drills and a Makita brand drop saw.

At around 2.30am an alarm went off at nearby building and police arrived. Police dogs tracked Tapp to a toilet block where he was hiding.

Tapp pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to 10 charges including entering premises, drug driving and being a repeat unlicensed driving.

The court heard Tapp had been pulled over driving without a licence multiple times including after he was disqualified from driving for more than two years at Caboolture Magistrates Court.

He was sentenced to nine months jail with an immediate release on parole and he was banned from driving for more than six years.
