He began yelling at police, asking if they “wanted a piece of this”.

Police approached Vunicagi, who was heavily intoxicated, but he tried to walk away.

When he was told he was being arrested Vunicagi asked them “what for?”.

He lunged towards police on multiple occasions and threatened to fight them. Police at one stage drew a taser on Vunicagi.

He was eventually arrested and while being put into a police car he lashed and kicked out at police.

On Tuesday Vunicagi pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to causing a public nuisance.

The court heard he had since apologised to police for his actions.

He was fined $500. No conviction was recorded.
