High driver on a ‘bad trip’ when he crashed, took the car’s number plates and left scene
The man returned to the crash site and tried to drive his car away but couldn’t due to the extensive damage from the crash.

After crashing his car while high on LSD Marcus Ian Grainger got out of the car, removed the number plates and left the scene.
He later returned and tried to drive the car away but could not because it was so badly damaged.

Grainger pleaded guilty in writing at Pine Rivers Magistrates Court to charges including driving under the influence of drugs and failing to remain at the scene of a crash.
He told police he was having a “bad LSD trip” and was also high on cannabis and prescription drugs when he crashed.
He was fined $1500 and disqualified from driving for six months.
