Playground on Brisbane and Moreton’s boundary named Qld’s best playspace
A popular playground in Moreton Bay has been named the best play space in the state by the Parks and Leisure Australia Queensland awards.

A park north of Brisbane has been named the best playspace park in Queensland.
The Hills District All Abilities in Arana Hills was named the best Playspace over $500,000 at the Parks and Leisure Australia Queensland awards on Wednesday night.
The Moreton Bay council park opened in December 2019 and has proven extremely popular.
It beat out park developments in the Burdekin and Flagstone.
During the awards ceremony, held online using Zoom, PLA Queensland executive officer Adam Cheyne said the all-abilities nature of the park was vital to modern play areas.
“These are amazing projects and inclusive play is so important in our community,” he said.
Brisbane City Council’s Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre was named the Community Facility of the Year.
While the Park of the Year award went to the Chinchilla Botanic Parkland on the Western Downs.
