WHAT do a scurvy pirate, a rotund shark with groovy dance moves and a Star Wars princess have in common?
They’re all from Brisbane and they’ve all joined the global wheelie bin craze, taking photos of themselves dressed in fabulous costumes as they take out their bins.
They’ve joined more than one million people worldwide posting on the Bin Isolation Outing Facebook page, which was created by a Hervey Bay woman about four weeks ago to give people a reason to smile while in isolation.

Let’s celebrate the latest batch of Brisbane residents to step out with their rubbish.
It’s quite common to mark a birthday party location with balloons tied around the mailbox, but when you’re turning 18 it’s much more mature to attach the balloons to your wheelie bin. Add a tiara and you’ve nailed that party look.
Avast ye and batten down the hatches! It’s time for Pirate Belinda to walk the bin into the briny deep.
Who’s the clever girl then? It’s Summer, and when she can’t find anything else to round up, she shows she’s a natural at mustering bins.
What’s not to love about a slightly rotund shark showing off some cool dance moves.

Perfect hair, Princess Julie. Not sure how I feel about leaving the fate of the galaxy in the hands of that droid, though.

Honestly, is there anything cuter than this little group of crazies who fell down a rabbit hole and landed in an alternate gigantic mushroom-infested universe. Let’s hope there’s no chopping off of heads.
