After months of renovations, Cafe Wisteria Bne in Ascot is set to reopen to the public bigger and better than before.
Yong Zhang, 42, who bought the cafe in early 2020 just before the pandemic hit, is looking forward to getting back to business, with an opening date set for July 14.
Zhang said the revamped cafe would be double in size and have a cosy minimalist feel to it.
“All equipment is brand new, floors and walls are brand new,” he said.
“The old shop was built 17 years ago.”
Locals can expect new menu items like crisp dukkah salmon and old favourites like Cafe Wisteria’s big breakfast.
The last few years haven’t been easy on the business, however Zhang is hoping the new renovations will bring a fresh start.
“(During the pandemic), there were many times that we had to shut down and reopen,” he said. “It was a really tough time for hospitality.
“The lucky thing is, we have survived with customer support. Things are getting better (now).
“Our target: offer the best quality of service and good to locals.”
Cafe Wisteria Bne is located at Ascot Plaza, 111 Racecourse Rd, Ascot.
It will be open for breakfast and lunch.
