A court north of Brisbane has heard how a Deception Bay woman was pulled over not once, but twice without a licence in a matter of weeks, while also under the influence of cannabis.
Zoe Melissa Baker, 28, represented herself in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on April 11, charged with driving while relevant drug is present in blood or saliva, holder of learner, probationary or provisional licence and driving without a licence repeat offender.
The court heard at 8.30am on January 21, 2023, police pulled Baker over, who was driving in Deception Bay without a driver’s licence.
Police prosecutor Ms Whittaker-Morrow said a drug test returned a positive result for cannabis.
The court then heard Baker was again pulled over on February 11, 2023 at Deception Bay, without a driver’s licence.
In court Baker, who pleaded guilty, gave no reason why she drove under the influence of drugs and said nothing to defend her actions.
Magistrate James Blanch ordered Baker to pay a $800 fine for all offences and disqualified her from holding or obtaining a driver's licence for three months.
A conviction was recorded.
