A YOUNG woman cried in court today as a magistrate refused her bail application.

Brooklyn Rose Carroll was picked up on a district bench warrant and appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court via video link.

Duty lawyer Farrah Haddad applied for bail, stating his client was willing to adhere to strict conditions.

“That would be a first,” Magistrate Bucknall said.

He said that since 2018, Ms Carroll had committed 12 breaches of bail offences and had five convictions for failing to appear.

“If I let her go she won’t appear,” Magistrate Bucknall said.

“She just keeps on offending.”

He recommitted the matter to the district court at a date to be determined and refused the bail application.
