Watch: Security guard bashed in alleged shopping centre getaway
A security guard in his 20s was left battered and bruised, after he was allegedly assaulted by another man who police say was making a getaway from robbing a store.

A Brisbane man will face court after allegedly repeatedly punching a security guard at a Moreton Bay shopping centre, following an alleged robbery.
Police have arrested a man after being called to a Redcliffe shopping centre in response to an assault of a security guard.
At around 7pm on August 2, the alleged offender was apprehended after it’s said he attempted to leave a store without paying for items.
It is alleged that the man assaulted the 23-year-old security guard from Salisbury, by punching him in the face numerous times to avoid apprehension.
The man fled the scene in a vehicle but was located driving into a residence at Duffield Road, Margate.
He was located by police hiding in a neighbouring property before fleeing.
After a short foot chase, he was arrested.
A 31-year-old man from West End was charged with robbery, stealing, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of property related to a drug offence. no pleas have been entered.
The security guard was treated for minor grazes and bruising.
It is alleged that the man was involved in an incident earlier in the day.
At around 2pm, the same man was seen leaving a grocery store with a trolley full of groceries that he had allegedly failed to pay for.
It is further alleged the man was found in possession of a syringe and methyl amphetamine when arrested.
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 2.
