A $42 million waterfront development at Scarborough, north of Brisbane, designed with seachangers and downsizers in mind is due to open in April next year.
Trades in Purple have started construction of the Vave Scarborough development, at Landsborough Ave.
The four-storey development will include 43 north facing ocean-view three-bedroom apartments and seven three-bedroom pool villas.
$1 A WEEK FOR THE FIRST 8 WEEKS. Min. cost $4
Residents will have to fork out at least $768,000 for an apartment, which range in size from 168 sqm to 210 sqm. Pool villas, which are 255 sqm, start at $802,000.
Traders in Purple CEO Brett Robinson said the units were designed for the future.
“All apartments within Vavé come with two car spaces, a lockable storage area and the capability for electric car charging points,” he said.
“The interiors are spacious and well-appointed with premium finishes and fittings such as Miele appliances, and importantly, a generous balcony to take in the ocean views as well as an outdoor recreational area featuring a pool and BBQ facilities.”
Mr Robinson said the project had attracted a lot of interest from downsizers looking to embrace the ocean lifestyle.
PLANS FOR MORE MULTISTOREY UNIT DEVELOPMENTS IN SCARBOROUGH
The project is the developer’s ninth residential development north of Brisbane, including The Sebel Hotel in Margate, The Scarborough and Bathers Beachside.
Moreton Bay Regional Council has also approved a development application, lodged by Traders in Purple, for 77-85 Landsborough Ave and 118 Mein St, Scarborough.
The report on the council website says the development will be nine storeys tall with 64 units and a food and drink outlet.
