Plans for two multi-storey unit developments at Scarborough

A QUIET seaside town north of Brisbane could soon be home to two new multi-storey unit developments.

A SEASIDE town north of Brisbane could soon be home to two new multi-storey unit developments.

Traders in Purple, who recently developed The Scarborough and the S ebel Brisbane Margate Beach hotel at Margate, have plans to build two separate unit developments at Landsborough Ave, Scarborough.

Traders in Purple will launch a new development at Landsborough Ave, Scarborough.

The first, a four-storey development with 50 units at 137-141 Landsborough Ave, called Vavé will be officially launched on September 21.

It is just a few metres away from The Scarborough development.

When finished it will feature 43 three-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-carpark units and seven three-bedroom townhouses around a swimming pool.

Traders in Purple CEO Brett Robinson said the layouts maximised space in the living and balcony areas “where people spend the most time”.

“Our passion for environmental sustainability goes into each and every project we develop with techniques, products and innovative designs incorporated into every development,” Mr Robinson said.

The building is expected to be completed by late 2019.

Residents at the Vave, Scarborough, will have views over Moreton Bay.

Moreton Bay Regional Council has also approved a development application, lodged by Traders in Purple, for 77-85 Landsborough Ave and 118 Mein St, Scarborough.

This is down from The Scarborough, among the cafes and shops.

The report on the council website says the development will be nine storeys tall with 64 units and a food and drink outlet.

Council approved the development on March 13 this year.

It will also include a communal open space and a swimming pool.
