Stockland gives future residents first look inside new ‘exclusive’ clubhouse
With lakeside views, a gym, library, billiards room, pool and two bars, one could be forgiven for mistaking this development near Brisbane for a resort. But this “exclusive” clubhouse is all part of a $70 million retirement village that’s turning heads in the community.

Stockland gave future residents of its new vertical retirement village at Newport, north of Brisbane, a sneak peak inside the community’s $5 million “exclusive” clubhouse.
The clubhouse forms part of the developer’s $70 million six-storey retirement village called Newport Retirement Living.

Once complete it will feature 125 apartments (a mix of two and three bedrooms), with many overlooking the new 22 hectare lake.
The clubhouse spread over two levels was opened at a special ceremony in July.
Located across from the lake, it features two bars, a gym, library, billiards rooms, lounge and access to the pool and entertainment area.
It is also close to the proposed town centre and marina.
Stockland Regional Development manager Pauline Barton said it was a major milestone for the village.
“We want to make our residents feel as if they’re at a holiday resort as well as being completely at home in the beautiful surroundings, with numerous places to entertain family and friends and enjoy an active lifestyle,’’ Ms Barton said.
The first residents are expected to move into the village from September.
