Police charge Trevor Anthony Shaw, 52, after alleged stabbing at Margate

Police have charged a man in his 50s with allegedly stabbing another man in a street north of Brisbane during a violent late-night altercation.

A 52-year-old man will front the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today, charged with the alleged stabbing of a 54-year-old Margate man.

A man has been charged with allegedly stabbing another man after a violent late-night altercation on a suburban street north of Brisbane.

Trevor Anthony Shaw, 52, appeared in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court today after the alleged incident on Rosewood Crescent at Margate at 10.30pm last night.

A 54-year-old Margate man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition after suffering several stab wounds.

Mr Shaw was charged with unlawful wounding, assault occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent and possessing dangerous drugs.

The matter was adjourned until January 12, 2023.
