DAWN Fisher is loving life in a new over 50s estate at Burpengary East, which is looking to expand into neighbouring lots and almost double its size.
The first tenants have started moving into Ingenia Lifestyle’s 132-lot Freshwater estate at Burpengary East and the company has just begun work on a new $3.5 million “luxury clubhouse”.

Yet they are not done yet, with plans to expand into neighbouring lots as well, bring the number of units up to about 240.
Ms Fisher was the first to move in to the estate, relocating from the Bray Park area in Pine Rivers.
“I’m very happy with it and I got my shutters the other day so now it’s even better!” she said.
Ms Fisher was originally from Melbourne and moved to Pine Rivers in 2003, living in Bray Park, Lawnton and Joyner where she had an acreage.
At 79, Ms Fisher still drives and is slowly getting used to navigating the area.
“I’ve still got to get used to it because every time I go out I get lost!” she said.
“Sometimes I feel a bit isolated but I keep myself busy, this clubhouse will be good when it’s finished. I’ll be involved in everything.”
Work has just started on the new clubhouse that will provide a social space for residents once finished.
It will have a gym, pool, alfresco barbecue area, luxury spa, community cinema and lawn bowls area.
The entrance to the estate is situated on Creek Rd, and should the expansion go ahead, it will extend onto 94 Twists Rd, and 58-70 Foster Rd.
Construction is still ongoing and causing a bit of noise and dust for the residents, but Ms Fisher said they knew about it when they moved in.
“I try sometimes to have a sleep but I’ve got to do it when it’s quiet,” she said.
“At least now with the shutters I can choose which room I want to sleep in.”
The company held a sod turn for the new clubhouse at the site on Wednesday, attended by Member for Bancroft Chris Whiting and Ingenia Communities chief executive officer Simon Owen.
