New seafood restaurant replaces exiting franchise in Redcliffe

A Brisbane business owner has taken over the former space of an iconic waterfront restaurant, opening the doors to the new venue tonight.

Redcliffe business owners calling for staff

A key restaurant along one of southeast Queensland’s most iconic esplanades will open its doors this evening, replacing a favourite eatery.

After many years of no doubt good memories for the community, Hog’s Breath Redcliffe is no more, instead the space has been bought out and taken over by seafood bar and grill.

Brisbane man Johnny Allsopp and an unknown business partner have opened the Bungalow Seafood Bar & Grill at 115 Redcliffe Parade.

After a soft opening on Thursday night, tonight is the first night the restaurant will be open to the public.

The Bungalow’s Facebook page says it was, “a restaurant that delivers on outstanding customer service, mouth watering seafood and steaks, amazing cocktails and those cool waterfront vibes”.

A post on a Redcliffe community Facebook page on December 15 read that Hog’s Breath was closed, its signs gone and furniture was being cleaned on the footpath by staff.

Hog’s Breath and Mr Allsopp have been contacted for comment.
