Passer-by finds 28 year-old Burpengary man deceased

A 28-year-old motorcycle rider has been confirmed dead after a passerby found his body beside a Morayfield road this morning.

A 28-year-old motorcycle rider has died after crashing into a fence in Morayfield this morning.

Police say a passer-by found the body of the 28-year-old Burpengary man, who is understood to have crashed after failing to negotiate a left-hand turn.

According to police, the motorcycle was travelling north on Nolan Rd before 5am today and veered off the road and into a fence.

The passer-by found the 28-year-old man and paramedics arrived shortly before 6am but a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said there was nothing they could do to treat or resuscitate the rider.

Investigations are ongoing and police would like to speak to any witnesses who were in the area in the hours prior to 5am or those with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.

Forensic crash investigators had been at the scene all morning, with on-scene investigations wrapping up about 9.30am.

Earlier, while emergency services were at the scene, motorists were urged to avoid the area however the road is now open and traffic is flowing normally.
