Authorities have confirmed that a Woody Point home has been destroyed by a fire which has engulfed the home since this morning.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson confirmed the blaze was extinguished just after 1.30pm, with the fire investigator and four crews remaining on scene.
Emergency services were called to the fire on Ellen St at 11.25am when neighbours needed to be evacuated.
Eight fire crews battled for just over two hours to suppress and contain the blaze.
No injuries have been reported and nobody was believed to be home at the time.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said there was nothing yet to indicate the fire was suspicious.
