Queensland Fire and Emergency said they are investigating the cause of a house fire in Narangba Wednesday that began in the garage before spreading through the entire structure.
Emergency services were called to Ringtail Court at 6:20pm following multiple calls from nearby residents.
The fire was reported due to smoke in the house’s garage but once crews arrived they realised the entire structure was involved.
The fire had been extinguished at 7:10pm with crews remaining on scene.
No people were reported hurt.
Neighbours in surrounding properties told of hearing an explosion.
“I heard the bang then could smell it, I thought it was a car on New Settlement Road, basically about 50 metres away,” one said on a social media post.
“It was a bloody Tesla battery explosion in a garage,” another alleged, claiming a report had been confirmed.
Police and QFES said they are still investigating and did not confirm the reports of the cause of the fire.
