Murrumba Downs: Teen duo allegedly threatened school staff at knifepoint after robbery spree

A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl who allegedly threatened school staff at knifepoint and committed a series of armed robberies in Murrumba Downs yesterday have been charged.

A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl who allegedly threatened school staff at knifepoint and committed a series of armed robberies in Murrumba Downs yesterday have been charged.

Police received numerous reports of two allegedly armed teens committing a series of robberies near Aleisha Court just before 5pm on Monday.

The teens allegedly used a knife to threaten multiple people while attempting to steal vehicles and property from addresses on Aleisha Court, Goodfellows Road, Marlene Street and Alana Street.

The pair then went to an school on Goodfellows Rd, where they allegedly threatened and assaulted a staff member while armed with a knife.

Police located and arrested the teens a short time later.

A 16-year-old Murrumba Downs boy was charged with ten offences including one count of armed robbery and three counts of attempted armed robbery.

A 15-year-old Deception Bay girl was charged with seven offences including robbery and attempted robbery.

They were refused bail and will attend Redcliffe Children’s Court.

Anyone who witnessed or had interactions with the pair are encouraged to come forward and speak with police.
