A Rochedale arborist charged with trafficking and dealing drugs in Springwood is now set to stand trial in Brisbane’s Supreme Court.

Yacob Zahran appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs and possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.

The court heard Zahran allegedly trafficked cannabis between October 11, 2019, and April 7, 2020, at Springwood.

He is also accused of unlawfully supplying the drug cocaine to another person at Springwood on or about December 21, 2020.

Police will allege he was found in possession of a mobile phone on April 7, 2020 that had been used in the connection of the commission of a crime, namely trafficking drugs.

The matters were committed for trial at the Brisbane Supreme Court at a later date.

The court heard Zahran was also facing other unrelated charges including fraud and six counts of receiving tainted property.

The matters were adjourned to be heard at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 12, 2022.
