Morayfield Guzman y Gomez to open, creating 80 new jobs
A popular Mexican food chain continues to expand across Queensland’s southeast with plans to hire more than 400 staff as it opens more stores, including one north of Brisbane.

Guzman y Gomez will open its fifty-second restaurant in Queensland at Morayfield in the Moreton Bay on Tuesday, August 9.
This will be Guzman y Gomez’s fourth, but not final, store opening in Queensland this year.
The chain is also on a massive hiring spree with more than 400 roles to fill as soon as possible.
To celebrate the opening staff will serve $5 burritos and bowls all day, along with free coffee and a live Mariachi band will provide entertainment.
Franchisee Luke Francey, who also runs North Lakes and Rothwell, has a great passion for the food chain
He said he had an obsession with clean, fresh fast food which is why he opened his first franchise in 2016 after a decade in the health and fitness industry

The Morayfield restaurant is the fourth Guzman y Gomez to open in Queensland this year with another two restaurants to open before Christmas.
The Guzman y Gomez Morayfield store’s front counter has been made with recycled materials from an old building at the local Redcliffe Airport.
The Morayfield store will be open from 6am to 10pm daily, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner and is at the Morayfield Super Centre, 312-344 Morayfield Rd, Morayfield, QLD.
Guzman y Gomez currently has over 160 restaurants in Australia, Singapore, Japan, and the US.
