A Hervey Bay man has faced a Brisbane court accused of child grooming, rape and distributing child exploitation material.
The 24-year-old man’s case came before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Wednesday but he did not appear on video as initially expected.
He is facing 30 charges including nine counts of rape and five counts of indecent filming of a child.
The offences were allegedly committed in Kallangur, in the Moreton Bay region north of Brisbane.
Lawyer Rory Cunningham requested a six-week adjournment to prepare material for the court and his client.
Magistrate Annette Hennessy adjourned the matter to a committal mention on May 15.
The man was remanded in custody.
