Get ready Redcliffe, a fist if its kind entertainment venue is ready to open its doors and it looks amazing.
The new entertainment and tourism attraction, a first for the region, will open tomorrow, and owners say it will not be replicated elsewhere.
The marine-teamed gaming arcade will offer a breathtaking design, and plenty of fun — just in time for the school holidays.
Leasing and Special Projects manager for venue owners Elanore Investment Group Jason Cravino said the arcade was the first stage of the UnderSea Putt and Play.
Mr Cravino said it would include state of the art digital gaming, arcade entertainment, huge sculpted ship and “fun for all ages” including a licensed bar, share-food menu, party rooms and more.
“It’s what Redcliffe has been waiting for with an on-trend and emerging offer commonly restricted to cities or major destinations,” he said.
The entertainment venue is part of a plan to overhaul of parts of Bluewater Square Shopping Centre.
A formerly unused outdoor seating area and three retail tenancies have been converted into the new entertainment precinct which will also include a new minigolf course too, with plans for it to open mid-October.
“Stage 2, UnderSea mini-golf extravaganza which is themed on Morton Bay,” Mr Cravino said.
He said the 18-hole interactive, educational and activity-based experience was designed for everyone.
He said the venue would start on a high, with guests being welcomed by a black-light cave and a giant Dunkleosteus (a 350-million-year-old giant Devonian predator).
“It had huge heavily armoured plates in its head and jaws, which has never yet been reconstructed at this size,” he said.
He said golfers would play through various levels of difficulty while surrounded by deep sea creatures, marine life and more.
