A Moreton Bay man has been arrested by police for allegedly throwing items at cars three times, running at traffic and forcing them to mount the curb to avoid collisions.

David Anthony Crawford-Baldwin, 45, was arrested on Deception Bay Rd yesterday for allegedly throwing items at vehicles then running in and out of traffic.

Police were called to the same area three times for the same reason but failed to locate the man.

Police say they eventually found Mr Crawford-Baldwin in an extremely agitated state and allegedly in possession of a knife.

He was charged with possession of a knife in a public place, obstructing police and public nuisance.

The Deception Bay man appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court this morning, while remanded in custody.
