Inmate accused of serious assault at Woodford jail
An inmate at a southeast Queensland jail has been accused of seriously assaulting a corrections officer while behind bars.

An inmate at a Queensland jail has been accused of two serious assaults.
Casey Desmond George Lander, 32, fronted Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday charged with the serious assault of a corrective services officer by spitting.
Spate of assaults in Qld prisons leave guards on edge
It will be alleged the assault happened while Lander was in custody at Woodford Correctional Centre on August 19.
Lander on Monday appeared briefly before Magistrate Andrew Hackett via video link from custody.
No application for bail was made by Lander, who the court heard was also facing a charge of grievous bodily harm before Brisbane Magistrates Court, which was adjourned until November 9.
Lander will return to Caboolture Magistrates Court for the serious assault charge on November 5.
