Caboolture man, 24, charged after alleged attempted robbery in park

A man will face court after allegedly brandishing scissors in frightening incident at a Caboolture park.

On August 4, a 22-year-old man walking through a Wallace Street park was allegedly approached by a man who demanded property from him.

The man was armed with a pair of scissors.

The 22-year-old man allegedly received minor injuries to his face during the incident, however no property was stolen.

The other man was then chased by witnesses in a southerly direction towards Mckean Street.

Emergency services attended the scene just after 2.10pm, locating a man fitting the description in a nearby street.

The man, a 24-year-old from Caboolture, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery and failure to take reasonable care and precautions in respect to a syringe or needle.

He is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 5.
