A shopping centre north of Brisbane is experiencing a post-COVID boom with four new tenants preparing to move in – including a new restaurant.
Fasta Pasta had operated at the Morayfield Market Plaza, at Caboolture South, for almost 20 years before closing down more than a year ago.
But the centre’s managing agent Reid Ferguson, from 5 Tier Property, said a new tenant had been found.
The 300 sqm space will be transformed into a Greek restaurant.
Mr Ferguson said the new restaurant will be dishing up Greek and Turkish inspired foods, including kebabs, cooked on an open charcoal grill.
The operators, Ozi Pide, are an existing Morayfield business, looking to expand their concept with dine-in and takeaway options.
Works have started inside the restaurant and it is expected to be open in coming months.
Mr Ferguson said it is not the only new tenant moving into the plaza, at 49 Morayfield Rd, which is anchored by Woolworths.

“The centre has been going through some productive leasing, with four new lessees signing on in the past four months,” Mr Ferguson said.
“It is really positive post-COVID-19.”
Mr Ferguson remained tight-lipped on what other tenants were due to move in soon but hinted “there would be more food offerings and a new national retailer”.
